What ever happened to food fights?

I remember as a kid at school during lunchtime, several times a month, someone would start something which as a kid was just the most fun possible. It would start innocently, maybe flicking a piece of macaroni at your buddy. He would then throw something back at you. Laughter ensues, other students see what is happening and start it. Before you know it "FOOOOD FIGHT!!!" It was great fun, and was a game to see how much you could get away with before a supervising teacher ruined all the fun. What do they care for, we ate lunch outside, easy cleanup. Let the kids have fun. Occasionally they would catch the instigator of the food throwing and they would be sent to the Principals office. No one seemed to care much, it was just so much fun. I really don't hear too much from kids now about food fights. My guess if you started that they would probably call the police, arrest you, your parents would be served with a lawsuit because little Stacy got her dress stained and feelings hurt, and you would be expelled from school. All this because you threw some Doritos. |
