Outsourcing Your Writing Needs Is Not Always A Bad Thing

By Jobo Smith

Article marketing is often overlooked by many as a legitimate way to promote your website and build quality links. After all, it is just too time consuming, and everyone wants everything done as fast as possible. However, for all the ways of building links to your site, article marketing is the single most powerful way, and the results will last for years and years. No other method can claim this title.
The web is all about content. Without it, there is not much to do, look at or read. So if you create quality content and thin publish it, people will seek it out. As an added bonus, you can put links to your website inside the article, or in the resource box, and get traffic back to your site. In general, the more expertise you show in your articles, the higher the odds are that a reader will want more of that and look to visit your website to learn more. If you rehash old junk, or do a very poor job of writing, then just the opposite will happen - no one will click the links. One of the best ways to promote your writing is to publish it on an article directory. Just make sure you do not publish too many copies of the exact same article, as Google will start to ignore the links contained in duplicate content

The only thing holding most back is the amount of time it takes to write a quality article. As you get better at it, it does come faster. However, there are many times when you need some articles to publish on your site, or to promote a website, but you really have no area of expertise in which to write from. Then it can become a bit tedious, as you need to do some research first before you even start writing. When this is the case, often it is much faster to just hire a decent writer who is familiar with the subject matter to write some articles for you. Remember, your time is worth money too, and if you spend 5 or 6 or more hours writing 5 articles, you are giving up that amount of time to work on other aspects of your business. It becomes a judgement call whether to outsource the writing or not.

If you have some extra money to spare, I would highly recommend the outsource option, but if you are just starting out, do it all yourself. Just make sure you use a program such as Copyscape or other plagiarism detector to double check the content really is unique the writer is giving you. On average you can distribute the same article about 15-20 times and still get link credit for it, assuming its on different sites. To get more mileage out of your articles, you will have to get proficient at rewriting them. There are tools to help you do this, by synonym suggestion replacement or sentence by sentence rewrite. There are NO known programs that I have run across that do any form of decent auto rewrite. Most will make an article unreadable, and I would suggest you never publish this type of junk. The best tools are hands on, meaning you are working with the tool, choosing what words to use, or which sentences to rewrite, and it is assisting you. They are not doing the writing, you are. Once you get the articles rewritten, you can then publish to an article directory again. I would suggest not publishing a rewritten article to an account with another version of the same article. Create a new account or find another site to publish to. This will maximize the value of the links, and make the most of your time.

Most ghost writers or other outsourcing methods transfer the ownership of the article to the person paying for the work done. Meaning you own the article and can do as you wish with it. Some will argue that you should never use outsourced work, but there are many times where you just are not an expert on the topic and someone else can do a much better job. At the very least, it would give you a great head start to write your own version of the article. There is nothing wrong with hiring someone to write articles for you, businesses do it all the time.
